When To Stop Giving Sodium Valporate To Child After Last Fit?
my son has got fits 4 times until now frm the age for 1 1/2 yrs .. he is now going to be five the last time he got when he was 3 yrs he has been given sodium valproate medicine 10 ml per day since then .. do u think i can stop giving tht once the period of 2yrs is completed frm the last fit ? and tht it wudnt occur again

As after starting sodium valproate he did not get fit and 2-3 years passed this medicine can be stopped gradually but after consulting your treating doctor.
Do not stop by your self.
Let your neuro-physician or pediatrician take decision.
