What To Do If Having Pain And Dark Bruises Under Armpit?

Hi, I started have pain under my armpit several days ago.. then the pain(or sensitivity to touch) was transfered on my right arm..I though i slept bad on it or it was from carrying my baby, but the tenderness of the arm and painful sensation when touching it continued for a third day now, and is moving down the arm. I have since yesterday read bruises which are turning more dark now. I don t take any drugs or medication. please advise. I m scared..

Hello,

The pain and bruise under the armpit can be due to an injury to the soft tissue by carrying the baby for too long. You need to give it a rest and let it heal on its own. In case the pain increases then do consult your physician to rule out an infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
