What To Do If Am Suffering From Extreme Hunger After Recovering From Eating Disorder?

I am recovering from an eating disorder, of which I ate 250 calories a day maximum, with periods of 1-3 day fasts, my blood sugars ranged from 2.9-3.2. I have gained weight back to a healthy weight recently but I a, suffering from extreme hunger, were I am no longer feeling full for more than 5-10 minutes after eating. I can continuosly eat, but I try not to, which normally leads to binging. My stomach growls and feels empty all day and my throat has the strange feeling you get when your hungry to. I don t know how to deal with this? Do I eat or do I ignore my hunger? If I continue to eat will I end up becoming over weight? I m currently on 2000-3000 calories a day?

Hello
Welcome to HCM
I can understand your concerns.
I have some suggestions for you:
1. Eat small meals only at a time as you have to eat frequently.
2. Drink 1-2 glass of water whenever you have urge to eat.
3. Eat fibrous diet like salad. This will not increase your weight and will keep you full.
3. Go for regular walk and exercise to keep your metabolism normal.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
