What To Do For The Discomfort In The Eye?

My left eye fells as though the actual eye is brused. It hurt to blink when i first woke up this morning. When i got up there was no visible sign of bruising, my eye looked normal. the skin around my eye is really sensitive to touch and my tear duct is also really really sensitive. I dont want to go to the doctor if this is something thats just going to go away but its been about 18 hours and the pain persists
