What To Do For Giddiness After Recovering From Head Injury?

Sir, My wife sustained head injury with 4 swichrines at the back side on 9th Dec. she is recovered but still has some giddiness when she changes her posture or when she gets up from sleep etc. CT Scan was clear. Consulting Dr. says it is OK will be all right. Even medication stopped on 22nd Dec. Kindly guide

I can understand your concern. It is good that your wife has almost recovered and her CT head is normal. For giddiness, there is no need to worry. For relief, you can follow few tips

: Ask her to take bed rest
: Ask her to drink 2.5 to 3 later fluids daily to maintain hydration
: Check her BP daily to rule out low BP. If her Systolic BP is below 80mm Hg, give her saline water.
: Ask her to avoid mental stress
: You can give her tablet Beta-histine or Cinnarizine after proper prescription. If still no relief, give her combination of Cinnarizine-Dimenhydrinate or increase dose of medication.

Hope it will help you. If still no relief, you should consult doctor.
