What To Do For For The Pain In The Esophagus To Reduce?

I swallowed my food too hastily w/o chewing thoroughly. I believe I may have bruised or scraped the lining of my esophagus.. A few hrs have passed and the pain still persists and has become slightly more painful... Is there something I can do to alleviate the pain? And is this something I should be worried about?
