What Should Be Done After Accidental Intake Of Azithromycin Double Dose?

my husband gave accidentally gave my daughter a double dose of her azithromycin. she was supposed to have the double dose yesterday (day 1), then half dose for the following 4 days. She had a double dose yesterday and today. Do we continue giving her the half dose? Will we have enough medicine or do we need to get more?

That should be fine if she had no symptoms from the overdose, please continue with the normal suggested half dose for the next 4 days. Contact your MD that you would need another pill to complete the course. Even if he doesn't refill it it should be fine.
But be careful with the dosage with kids.

Thanks.
