What Might Cause Pulsating Noise In Ear?
Hi I have a pulsating noise in my ear which can sound like metal hitting metal or wood hitting wood. Sometimes i get enhanced hearing. I have been to ENT and they could hear the pulse noise in my head they referred me to vascular for a carotid artery scan that was ok now i have to have a Ct scan as some conditions can be at the base of the skull. What do they mean by this

The answer of your question is easy. If the pulsatile noise follow your heartbeats (accelerates with your heartneats for example when you run it might be related with a vascular abnormality of the brain blood vessels).
If not related with your hartbeats it can come from the ears (like infections). You have to see an ORL doctor in that case.
