Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Geeta Sundar's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM. Hair fall can be due to internal or external factors. External can be too much exposure to sunlight, pollution, excessive chlorine in water, over shampooing, lack of oil in hair, dandruf, combing wet hair, tying hair tightly etc. Internal causes can be deficiency of vitamin E, A and B-complex. Please find out if you have any of the external factors and correct them. And take a nutritionally balanced diet with salads, sprouts, cooked vegetables, milk, buttermilk, pulses and whole grains. You can also take a multivitamin, multimineral supplement for a month.
