What Is The Treatment For Vertigo And Dizziness?

hi, i woke to the house turning over with me on October 24, 2013 at 3 am. I had the same thing happening again at about 6 am. I visited a Dr. who said i had vertigo. i was given meds to assist with the dizziness and claritine. I had another episode of the place turning over with me on the Saturday of the same week. went to another Dr. who asked me to do some blood test and cholesterol test which turned out fine. i was given more sinus meds n told to watch for two weeks. it now 2 months and am still feeling like a zombie. i have not had that spinning over episode but i still feel off balance. wht could be wrong with me?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering for vertigo and dizziness . Well there can be many reasons for vertigo like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , Vertigo may also be caused by inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection , meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis . suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper checkup so that there will not be any further complication . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test , rotatory chair test and ECG to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe ant emetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics and some ear aid . For now avoid bending foreword , take steam , drink green tea thrice a day and do light exercises daily .
