What Is The Treatment For Hyperkeratosis And Parakeratosis?

My dermatopathology report says : hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis are present. Atypical keratinocytes are present within all levels of the epidermis in some foci. Solar elastosis, vascular ectasia, and a lymphohistiocytic infiltrate are noted in the upper dermis. I have tried to look up all of these words individually but other than involving skin I m having difficulty. Can you help?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
