What Is The Treatment For Discolored Painful Area On The Knee In A Female Having Gallstones ?
After going to the beach I now have a large discolored painful area on the back of my right knee . How should I treat this? I am a 20 year old female, height 5 4, weight 115 lbs and no medical history except for gallstones which I have not had surgery .

it is painful means u have infection or inflammation
apply antibiotic cream three times a day
take analgesic tab for pain
it may be allergic reaction or insect bite
if u dont feel well in 3-4 day better to consult doctor

Should be INFECTION.,
1) Topical ..Betamethasone and Gentamycin cream ...2 times daily.,
2) Tab..Ofloxacin 200 mg 2 times daily for 5 days.,
3) Tab...Acyclofenac and pracetamol...2 times daily for 3 days...ok ..,good luck

you have mentioned it happened after going to beach.have u met any truma or injury or any kind of insect bite. if its due to injury then you can take some analgesic tab like diclofenac 50 mg bd(please ensure that u r not allergic to diclofenac).you can give heat therapy to that area. again you have to meet a orthopedician.he will cmpletely examine that area and give u medications.ther may be some other pathology.
