What Is The Treatment For Difficulty In Breathing?

for the past week and a half my 14 year old, 115 pounds and 5'5" daughter has been complaining about a tight chest (even hurts to touch) and a hard time breathing, she also gets dizzy and feels like she is going to pass out when she moves around. All of the blood work, chest x-rays, blood pressure, oxygen level are normal, she has been in the hospital for a week tomorrrow and still no answers. She seen a pediatrician yesterday and he said that it is common "normal" for her to feel like this and it will go away. She was being treated for asthma but it wasn't working cause it wasn't asthma!!!! There is no way this is normal, can you help me out maybe something I can suggest to the doctor to look for!!!!

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
If all her reports are normal, no need to worry much for heart and lung related diseases.
At her age of 14 years, anxiety, stress and panic disorder are very common.
And all these can cause chest pain, pressure, breathing difficulty, dizziness etc.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in her life and start working on it's solution.
She may need anxiolytic drugs too.
Don't worry, with counselling and anxiolytic drugs, she will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
