Hi, Thanks for query to My HCM virtual Clinic.
I studied all details of your query.
I understood your health concerns about treatment of lump in the neck-
Treatment-
You need to consult Surgeon,as it seems to be
lymphadenitis from pharynx/Throat/or near by
scalp area .
As the lump is very tender,it may be due to recent viral infection in the past.
Any other cause for this needs to be ruled which your doctor would take care of,as he would have first hand information,to which I don't have any access.
Suggested treatment -
Hot Compresses locally.
Antibiotics and
Anti-inflammatory medicines from your doctor
Tests which need to be done if not responding to primary treatment,
Complete
Blood test,
ESR,
Chest Xray,
I don't think of any cancerous lump or
lymphoma in your case.
This would take care of it as such lumps reduce on its own in 2-3 weeks.IF recurring , needful treatments would be directed from your Surgeon accordingly after due investigations for other possibilities.
Hope this reply would help you in resolving this complex query and
anxiety with it.
I would appreciate if you hit thanks and write excellent review comments to help needy visiting patients at HCM.
Welcome for any further query in this regards.
Good Day!!
