What Is The Treatment For 7 Month With Suspect Lipoma?

hi there our 7 month old has a suspect lipoma on his upper back is there anything we should be worried about? He saw a doctor on Saturday morning who told us to go and see our gp today to arrange an mri scan, can an mri scan be dangerous? thank you, Alex

Hai... By what you quote I understand that the lipoma is located in the spinal column. Even if there are no neurological deficits in the kid as of now...it is 100% advisable to take an MRI of the spine to rule out intraspinal extension. Your dr was very much right in ordering the MRI.
