What Is The Suggested Medication For Typhoid Fever In Child?

my baby is 5yr.20 days old.and she had a blood test which hows a slight typhoid.now what should i do .She is suffering from fever from last 10 days and we were also taking medicines also but it was temporary relief only.

after the blood test report we had taken 5 days antibiotic course also....now after stopping medicines in one day gap she again got 101-103 fever . now what should i do.....

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. I understand your concern. Usual recommended course of treatment for typhoid is for 14 days. 5 days won't help. As fever has been there for psst more than 10 days I suggest I iu admit the kid & go for intravenous Ceftriaxone based on your pediatrician advice.
