General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

With correct antibiotics based on the guidelines, typhoid will disappear in maximum 2-3 weeks. Usually the fever disappears with in 3-5 day of starting the drugs. If not blood culture may be required and widal should be repeated to know the status with the titer.
Kindly upload the treatment he has taken and investigations reports for further discussion.

Hope this answered your query.
Wish your father faster recovery.

Regards
