My 14 year old has been taking abcences lately. Her last turn was tues past and she lost memory of family for 9 hours then it gradually came back. She has been taking severe headaches for several months now and continuesly dizzy with severe fatigue. She is constantly in pain. It started with the headaches and working its way around the body. She keeps feeling a sharp pain in her thumb on left hand then it works through her fingers then numbness then pains up her left arm, into her knees with feelings of weakness & feet feeling floppy

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your son's symptoms. I would recommend him to be examined by a neurologist.

Further evaluation would require doing MRI brain epilepsy protocol and electroencephalography (EEG).

There are good medications to treat these seizures, such as sodium valproate.

I am sure your son will get better with appropriate treatment.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
