What Is The Remedy For The Needle Pain Down The Neck Spine Having Cartilage Out Of Place And Are The Vitamin D3 And B12 Tests Required For The Treatment?

Hi Doc, I have pain in my neck spine like needle pain if i look down. No numbness anywhere. Doc got MRI done. Says cartilage between two bones of the neck is little bit out. Has asked to do Vitamin D3 & B12 test. My question :is the blood test required? & what is the remedy for the pain ?

hello ... with neck pain which is due to the cartilage being displaced, the best treatment is Physiotherapy for neck muscles. For pain simple Paracetamol is the best ... a follow-up MRI would help in tracking any deterioration in one year.

The role of Vit D and B12 is not supported by evidence. Only if the bone density is low it is required... for that u need to get a BMD done. It is more common in ladies after age of 45.
