ive been having trouble sleeping lately (i am twelve) an i was wondering if i might have isomnia (i have been staying up late all year and not going to bed till later hours and when i am tired i cant sleep and when i do get enough sleep i am still tired) is this normal
I think you are getting adequate number of sleep hours but your sleep cycle is disturbed. This is most probably due to irregular routine. Also, excessive mental stress can also cause this problem. The mind keeps working and you donot wake up fresh.
First thing would be to regularise your bedtime. Go for sleep at fixed time.
Avoid daytime naps.
Donot take tea, coffee or alcohol in evening and beyond
Ensure proper day light exposure. This will help you normalise sleep-wake cycle.
Practice relaxation exercises like deep breathong and meditation.
Thanks
