What Is The Reason For A 5 Year Old Having Large Volumes Of Urine?

My 5 year old produces a significant amount of urine. He sleeps about 11 hours per day and sometimes is still cranky and tired. He sleeps so heavy at night he doesn't wake up to use the bathroom. I am concerned about the potential of diabetes even though he has tested negative.
