Hi thanks for contacting HCM... You are having acute gastroenteritis .... You are given correct treatment with good antibiotic combination to cover wide range of organism ..... You are also given antispasmodic drug .. Here you have severe diarrhea , so I suggest you to admit in hospital if diarrhea out of control.... Than you might need I.v normal saline and D5 dextrose infusions to maintain hydration.... Meanwhile take ORS daily in water .... Fruit juice more .. Small meal taken at frequent interval.... If still condition increasing as I said admit in hospital and go for stool culture for further work up.... Discuss all these with your physician ... I have given best advise , but ultimate decision taken with only by your clinical examination.... Take care .....
