What Is The Difficulty In Swallowing After Being Treated For A Broken Hyoid Bone?

Several years ago I fell off some bleachers. I was knocked out and had a concussion. I also had some difficulty swallowing. I was taken, by ambulance, to the emergency room and had a ct scan of my head. When it continued to be painful to swallow I went to the doctor and he sent me for another scan to see if they missed something. They found that I had a broken hyoid bone. It has been years of pain when swallowing and some difficulty swallowing. The doctors in my area feel that they don't know anything about this, the bone has healed and I just have to deal with it. I just really need to know if I'm okay and what's in my future. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to choke to death while eating.
