What Is The Cure For The Pimples On The Face And Back?
So I have acne on my face and back and neither are really bad, enough to cover with makeup (on my face not my back) but enough to make me self conscious and I'm so tired of wearing face makeup. I have used many products for my face for years including proactive and it hasn't gone away. I'm debating whether or not to go to the dermatologist. Is there something out there that could save me a trip to the derm for both my face and back?
You should definitely visit a dermatologist. A dermatologist would be the ideal person who would guide you in dealing with your Acne.
If I was your treating dermatologist I would have asked you to use a topical antibacterial/antiinflammatory anti acne gel like clinamycin or benzoyl peroxide once or twice daily.
Along with this an oral antibacterial e.g Doxycycline or Azithromycin, can also be started depending on the severity of your acne and if the acne has an inflammatory component like pus and redness.
A topical retinoid like adapalene or tretinoin can also be added once daily for night time application. It is comedolytic as well as antiinflammatory, thereby preventing new acne formation in addition to curing already existing acne and acne marks.
