What Is The Cure For Pea Sized Lump In Lower Pelvis Area?

Have always had a small pea sized lump in my lower pelvis area. Over the years it remained the Same size, however I have noticed today that it is considerably bigger, about size of a chestnut and quite tender to touch. Should I be worried? Marie Claire

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would like to keep a possibility of Infected sebaceous cyst judging from the fact that you had a a pea sized lump and now it has grown bigger and is red , swollen and painful.

If i was your treating doctor i would have asked you to take an oral antibiotic (penicillin group) for a week so as to resolve the infection.

Once that infection is cured the cyst can be surgically removed which will prevent any further chances of bacterial infection.

take care
regards
