What Is The Correct Dose For Anti Rabies Injection?
Hello Sir,
I had bitten by dog on 13th jan 14 by street dog on my left side leg after that I went to civil hospital and they gave me titanus injection and anti rabies injections of 3 days. Now I have taken 0th, 3rd day injections but now i am confused abt doses quantity whether its 3 doses or 5 doses or Should I go to private clinic?

Hi, ARV doses are given at 0,3,7,14 and 28th day. some donot give 7th day dose. but 5 doses is ideal. Atleast you require 3 more doses i.e 7, 14 and 28 th day . hope this helped.

If you can observe the dog for ten days and if the dog is alright after 10th day 3injections of Rabipur on 0, 3, 7 day are sufficient.
If you can not observe the dog or the dog dies within 10 days observation period 5 injections on 0, 3, 7, 14, 30th day are required.
It is up to you whether to shift to a private clinic or not.
