*Umbillical pain is in relation to stretching of omental fat in hernial sac only
& it will not be revealed either in
MRI / CT .
*Follow certain steps to have lesser intensity of suffering else surgery for
Umbillical hernia is last option :
- avoid all oily / spicy / nonveg stuffs
- have diet containing more green leafy vegetables, fiber content, cereals,
pulses, legumes, fruits , yoggurt
- have frequent small amounts of food at intervals
- maintain hydration by plenty of liquids preferably boiled water, rice water,
coconut water, lemon juice, green tea, butter milk etc.
- avoid
smoking / alcohol / abuse substances if any
- regular deep breathing exercises with
YOGA for 30 min daily helps a lot
- avoid
stress / anxiety
- have sound sleep of 8 hours
- combination of
proton pump inhibitor with
domperidone before 1 hour of
lunch & dinner help , sometimes intestinal prokinetic agents , anti-
spasmodics also needed.
- avoid prolong fasting / overeating
- chew your food very thoroughly
- avoid sleeping for atleast 2 hours after lunch & dinner
- fix timing of breakfast , lunch , dinner
- keep your BP , Blood sugar,
Cholesterol , weight under control
