Can Nexium And Ganaton Dosage Be Increased Without Side Effects?
i have hiatal hernia and am taking 40mg nexium one in morning and once in evening 1/4 hour before meal and 1 ganaton 50mg 3xtimes before meal. still feel burning around chest and especially at night unable to sleep due to the acid refulx. could i get my physian to increase and what are the side effect of this drugs taken long term. i m 39 female 164cm at 48kg

Nexium contains esomeprazole which belongs to the group of medications known as proton pump inhibitors (PPI) that is used in the treatment of heartburn, acid reflux, gastric ulcers, acidity etc. Side effects After taking long time of Nexium are hip fracture, Clostridium difficile infection, polyps, seizures, jitteriness, dizziness, tremors, abnormal pain, acute interstitial nephritis, pneumonia etc.
Ganaton contains etopride that is used in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, prevention the feeling of fullness. It is also used to treat stomach discomfort or heartburn etc. Side effects after taking long time of Ganaton are jaundice, diarrhoea, gynecomastia, decreased white blood cells and platelets, Increased liver enzyme levels in the blood, excessive salivation, galactorrhea etc.
You can consult your doctor for your present sufferings and your doctor may increase the doses of your current medications or he can add another type of medication like Antacids and Lactulose in case of constipation.
