What Is The Cause Of Blood Seen In A Bowel Movement?

had my gallbladder removed a week ago today so i was very backed up tried everything sapositories, enema from the er and that did it i went a whole lot but since i been home i been running to the bathroom constantly but only going a little and its not a bowel movement its blood every time just a little each time but i would say every half hour. i also had a kat scan at the er with iv iodine so is it from that? Im worried and freaking out

You mention that you had been "backed up" after gallbladder removal surgery. Constipation in itself can cause irritation and tears in the anus as well as hemorrhoids to flare up and this could possibly be the cause of blood. Try to drink plenty of fluids and add fiber to your diet to help with the constipation. The IV iodine does not cause blood in the stool.
On the other hand if you have any warning signs such as A LOT of blood in the stool, fever, abdominal pain you should see a physician.
