What Is The Cause For Weight Gain?

I have always been of normal weight and dedicated to eating healthy and exercise. This past year I am experiencing unexplained weight gain (20 plus lbs.) and my blood pressure is on the bottom of the high side. Any suggestions for how to proceed to find out what the problem might be? I hate being overweight.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello and thsnk you for asking HCM,

I understand your concern. In most cases sudden weight gain is caused by thyroid problems, in your case hypofunction. My suggestion is to visit your GP and make blood test of your thyroid hormones.
Hypofunction of thyroid is easily solved.

I hope this answer was helpful to you.
