What Is The Cause For Stomach Pain And Back Pain When On Fluconazole Without A Bowel Movement?

my husband has been taking fluconazole tablets,200 mgs 1 every day.He started taking them on 1/3/2014 and his last pill was on 1/23/2014. He started having stomach pain and pain in his lower back on 1/18/2014.We thought it was because he hadn:t had a bowel movement. We have ended up in the ER, test after test, he is now in the hospital. MRI today shows nothing wrong. my husband can:t use his legs and wets on himself. could this medicine have caused this problem?

Hi and welcome to HCM,

This could be due to drug side effects. Muscle spasm or jerking of all extremities, numbness or tingling in hands, feets, stomach pain are rare side effects.
