What Is The Cause For Cramping And Urinary Dysfunction After A Mesh Sling?

How do i sign up for this forum? I ve had the mesh sling in 2007 and had sexual dysfunction every since then. My 18yr marriage ended within 1 year of surgery. I have recently had cramping, urinary dysfunction, and was told by OB/GYN i had significant scarring. My lawsuit is ongoing, just looking for support.

Hello!
Thanks for your query.
Placement of surgical mesh can put patients at a greater risk for mesh complications like :
infection
vaginal scarring
pain(including during sex)
bowel,bladder and blood vessels perforation
mesh erosion
urinary problems
pelvic pain
damage of vaginal and rectal tissue
These mesh side effects may be treated by completely or partially removing the surgical mesh with the return of pelvic organ prolapse, a condition which the product is intended to treat. Bladder stents, colostomies and pelvic reconstruction are among the other available treatments for mesh complications.
