What Is The Cause For An Appearance EKG Wave When I Read?

Hello, I have been seeing a big wave that moves as i read a line on a page from left to right. It is almost like an EKG wave, but rounded. if it is something in a box or on a line, the line or top of the box has the wave. It is very frustrating to read. I am a medical professional and this makes my job tough.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Greetings
You are probably seeing a floater due to liquefaction of the vitreous(Syneresis)
As pointed out the floater can significantly affect the quality of your vision.
You have not mentioned other factors like age, presence of short sight, any metabolic problems, etc hence a diagnosis is difficult.
It would be appropriate to consult the eye specialist who will check your visual acuity, eye pressures and do a dilated retinal examination using an indirect ophthalmoscope.
If it is just a ageing process with no retinal holes/tears,breaks being present no treatment will be required.
