Hello and welcome to HCM,

I had gone through the case and found that are numerous cause of irregular menstruation like-

-Eating disorders, like anorexia and bulimia causes anemic .

-Excessive weight gain or weight loss; extreme thinness and obesity both cause your menstrual cycle to become irregular or even to disappear

• Stress or emotional problems related personal, professional or environmental.

• Hormonal problems like thyroid malfunctions either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.

• Travel causes over exertion due to which body metabolism disturbed.

• Over-exercising: If you're an athlete and train very hard, you may stop menstruating because your body wants to survive and save energy and menstruation requires energy

• Problems related with pelvic organs (such as polycystic ovarian syndrome).

So I will advise to you first go for proper investigation like Blood test for Hemoglobin level, thyroid profile, harmon level and ultrasound of lower abdomen to rule out the cause and then start the medication.

Hope my advise will be effective for you.

Thanks,

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Irregular menstruation can be due to many reasons like PCOD , Hormonal Imbalances , Thyroid disorders.
A detailed history and investigation are required.
I would suggest you to write in detail about yourself like your age , marital status , duration of problem.
Also mention if ever you have been investigated.
If not get your Ultrasound abdomen and thyroid profile as basic.
I hope it helps you
