What Is Prognosis For Bulbar Polio?

i had what was identified as bulbar polio when i was 18. i have recovered with no apparent residual poroblems, except that i have no gag reflex. several years ago(approximately 20), i was starting to eat a sandwich and i could swallow, not even saliva. it only lasted about 15 minutes, but was scart. it has happened several times more recently lasting up to one hour. in that time i spit out almost a cup of saliva that i could not swallow. what can i expect to happen in the future?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Since this is years ago that you suffered from bulbar polio almost recovered so well, the residual effects may just remain so or you still may have to live it.
The intermittent appearance and full recovery thereupon indicate a good prognosis.
I would suggest you to try alternate therapies like acupressure and so on .
