Hi I am a female age 52 type 2 diabetic,I take hbp meds, levothroxine and metformin. Dr. I cannot seem to get my blood sugar down no matter what I do. I was off of my thyroid meds for a week and just started taking again, now I am having heart palpitations and feeling chills what is wrong with me?
Dear Madam, I think you are going through a normal progression of Diabetes. So nothing to worry. Check your fasting, Post prandial, HbA1c and get your diabetologist to fine tune your diabetes medication accordingly. Next coming to levothyroxine , my sincere advice is never stop it, no matter what... Your palpitations, chills may be due to slight fluctuation in thyroid levels or may be due to diabetes itself. Blood tests will give us a better idea. Hope i answered your query..
