Wet macular degeneration is one of the leading causes of blindess in the world today.
It causes vision loss because of formation of layer over the macula.
The treatment is by laser therapy/ photodynamic therapy/intravitreal injections of anti vascular endothelial growth factors.. depending on the condition and progression.
Vitamin supplements like antioxidants are helpful in dry macular degeneration.
