Hi,
Widal test is a serological test to look for antibody in case of typhoid fever.
The numbers 1/30 or 1/120 indicates the dilution titre strength at which is positive. A titre of more than 1/160 with symptoms of either 'O' or 'H' indicates positivity. Previous infections or vaccinations needs to be ruled out.
Additionally a single widal test does not confirm the diagnosis. A rising titre eg. 1/120 to 1/480 usually indicates an active infection
Its nothing serious. If you are on antibiotics, do get a follow up widal test done, if fever continues. If it is raising its typhoid fever. Also stool and urine culture can also be done, as required.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
