What Does The Report Showing: Unfolding Of The Thoracic Aorta Indicate?
About 15 years ago a hole in my heart was found and repaired ASD. The other day I had a chest x-ray as I had a chest infection and in the report it said: The size of the cardiac silhouette is at the upper limit of normal. There is unfolding of the thoracic aorta. My Dr did not mention this to me, I only read it on the report when I got home. Could you please explain same to me. Thank You.

According to the reports you have borderline enlarged heart(cardiomegaly).
There is also unfolding of aorta,it is age related finding and it doesn't require any treatment.
