What Does The Gestational Sac Lower Than Uterus Mean And Will There Be Any Improvement In Condition?
Hello. I just came back from my dr. I have suffered m/c at about 6 weeks three months ago after iui. I am currently 5w 3d pregnant again, however my dr has advised me that my gs is lower in the uterus, what does that mean? Will it be able to move up? Can a healthy baby still develop? My hcg levels went from 345 to 700 to 1078. I am waiting for today's results. Can you please advise as I am very nervous. We have been trying for a baby for a long time now...
Hi, Thanks for the query. Usually gestational sac will get implanted in the upper part of the uterus, either at the fundus or at the side walls. Sometimes that can get implanted over lower part of the uterus. The problems with low implantation are: -The gestational sac may not get good implantation bed. -Risk of placenta previa -Miscarriage Sometimes the sac may grow towards the uterine fundus and pregnancy may continue. Regular followup ultrasound examinations are needed to monitor the growth of the gestational sac. Better to be in rest, avoid strenuous activity, journeys etc. Take care.
