Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... Just had laproscopicc Roux-en-Y 3 weeks ago today. LUQ area became infected post op day 2 and started draining serro-sangious on post op day 6. Now it is still draining but decreased greatly. But, has changed to purulent. I was on Amoxicillin 1250mg daily for 10 days and ran low grade temps up until 4 days ago. Should I be concerned? The nurse at the office doesn't seem to be. Also, when eating soft/pureed sometimes things feel like they are getting stuck in my lower esophogus.
Dear friend, greeting s from HCM , YES YOU NEED TO TAKE ADDITIONAL ANTIBIOTICS .. Purulent discharge even on antibiotic s is a concern I think you need one more antibiotic to cover gram negative and anaerobic organisms .. I feel you meet your surgeon and get the prescription .. Soon .. Take care and do contact us for more queries... THANK YOU
