What Does The HDL In My Test Result Indicate?

Dear Sir, following are test result.
fasting serum cholestrol 169.4(130-220),
fasting serum triglycerides 188.7 (36-165),
HDL Cholestrol 42.9 ( 30-70),
CHO/HDL ratio 3.95 (
SGPT 61 (4-41)
Negative HCV
is there any problem with liver or tis due to weight and food habit ?

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your test results, I would conclude that you have high triglycerides and higher liver enzymes, which can be related to a slight liver dysfunction.

This may be caused by an unhealthy diet or different drugs, but I recommend performing other liver function tests (SGOT, Gama GT, bilirubin, HBV etc) and an abdominal ultrasound to examine better your liver.

Your test for C Hepatitis has resulted negative (which means that you are not infected by this virus).

Regarding your cholesterol levels, the ratio CHO/HDL is within the normal limits, which indicates a low cardio vascular risk. No therapy is needed for this issue.
