What Does Sugar Level Of 'below 90 Before And 160 After Meals' Suggest?

Doctor, my mother who is 68 years old has been diagonised diabetic since the last 10-12 years. But now after undergoing a gallbladder surgery most of the time her reading before meals is below 90 and 2 hrs after meals reads 160 max, is it a good sign or bad.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The lower readings indicate better control of her diabetes. The readings are within the goals of a person with diabetes.

If she can maintain these readings then she would reduce the risk of any complications related to the disease.

I hope this helps
