What Does "retained Placental Fragment" Mean In Ultrasound During 6 Month Postpartum?

Hi, im 6 months postpartum now and my last ultrasound(due to abnormal bleeding) showed retained placental fragment? i'm a little confused as they said it was posterior, but I had a completely anterior placenta? how is it possible if I have not had a pregnancy since?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
You said this is postpartum period going on according to you it was anterior placenta, but this was detected before the delivery during the routing antenatal examination, the placenta get detached from the uterine wall during the delivery and expelled out after the baby delivered, but some time some part of this remained inside the uterine cavity after the detachment and that does not comes out, later on this may stuck any where in the uterine cavity, hope this information helps you have nice day.
