Precancerous lesions are seen in certain malignancy especially Gynaec and oral cavity cancer. They occur before invasion occurs. Timely treatment of precancerous lesion can prevent the occurrence of cancer. Sometimes especially in areas like uterus invasive lesions are seen in other location. Hence immediate attention is required. Once the whole thing is removed, histopathological examination of specimen will give exact diagnosis.
