What Does Microalbumin/creatinine Ratio Mean?

My microalbumin/creatinine ratio is 1132 from 740. What does this mean to my kidneys? I m diabetic with high BP and taking medications to control both conditions. My dr also put me Lisinopril 40mg to protect my kidneys. My recent lab test shows BUN 13, Creatinine 1.1 and BUN/Creatinine Ratio of 12. Should I be concerned about kidneys damage/disease?

Hi,
thanks for asking.
My opinion is as follows:
1. Microalbumin/creatinine ratio is within normal limits. If the ratio crosses 30mg/g then there is kidney damage.
2. BUN, creatinine and ratio levels are within normal limits

Continue with your medication and be regular. At present, nothing to worry. Your kidneys are functioning properly.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
