Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear Sir/ madam
Thanks for your query to us.
Cardiomegaly means larger than normal shadow of heart on x-ray. This can be due to heart enlargement, fluid around heart or an artifact. Best way to decipher the exact cause is Echocardiography.
Unfolding of aorta is mostly related to age related changes. This is due to enlargement of shadow of major blood vessel on x-ray due to age related widening, however, disease process like aortic aneurysm should be ruled out. This may require an ultrasound or MRI, depending upon the degree of suspicion.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
