What Does A Slower Heart Beat Mean?

I had an ECG done a couple of days ago. The lab which did the ECG suggested me to meet a Cardiologist as my ECG shows abonormality due to slower heartbeat rate in the range of 43-48. I met the Cardiologist who after looking at the ECG did a Echo Cardiogram. The Echo test showed normal. But, the Cardiologist suggested a Holter test and also advised me to go for a Pacemaker. I have absolutely no problems with my health. I am healthy individual aged 61 years. I am not under medication for any illness. My clinical tests on blood urine etc. showed no signs of lever, kidney, cholostrol related ailments.

hello,I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.
It seems that your natural pacemaker designed by Nature has become weak because of aging,so it requires man made pacemaker.Mostly you have sick sinus syndrome.Basically this entity is silent for fairly long time and so patient is in dilemma about accepting pacemaker. But this low heart rate imposes burden on heart and on long run weakens it,not only that it may lead to sudden giddiness and fall leading to serious injury.so it is always advisable to get it done before one gets serious consequences.
please go for it,
My best wishes
