What Does 250 Hcg Level In Pregnancy Mean?

i have had a tubal ligation 5 years ago and last friday i took 2 pregnancy tests and they came back positive. yesterday and today i have had light bleeding and cramping. i went to the hospital yesterday and they said my hcg levels were only about 250. is my baby safe? what should i do to make sure of that?
