What Could Cause Minor Cramps, Dark Brown Spotting And Lower Back Pain While Being Sexually Active?

Hi, lately I've been having some really minor cramps. They are tolerable and aren't as severe as the one I get on my period. Along with that, I've had spotting only when I wipe that is dark brown and I have lower back pain. I know it can't be my period because this has been happening for like 5 days now and I just got my period 2-3 weeks ago. I am on birth control and sexually active, but sadly I'm not really consistent with my birth control. I'll forget sometimes and miss a couple of days. Does it sound like pregnancy? What should I do?

Hi

Since you have missed your pills on certain days, the effectiveness of birth control will be definitely reduced. You need to perform a pregnancy test 10 days after missed period or two weeks after intercourse to rule out pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
